Achille Vann Ricca
Brooklyn based, Boston born
Achille Vann Ricca is an actor-first, educator-second, everything-else-third artist. He holds warmth, collaborative spirit, rhythm, quareness, and equitable education dear in his artistic pursuits.
Achille originated the role of Weeping Willow in KUDZU CALLING (Donnetta Lavinia-Grays) at Alabama Shakespeare Festival, and Emory in EGGS (Clay Baker-Lerner) at The TANK Pridefest. He's been a member of Clubbed Thumb's New Play Development Acting Cohort for two seasons, and has done myriad workshops with them. He has been seen regionally on the stages of the Laguna Playhouse, MileSquare Theater, Hangar Theatre, Civic Ensemble, and Kitchen Theatre. Achille is proud to be represented by John Essay of Essay Management. On film, he's lead Peter Berle's CUTTING FAT, a selection of Trinity Film Festival and FactoryFest.
He has instructed performing arts through New York Edge, Black Theatre United, the Hangar Theatre, Creative Arts at Park, and through private coaching practice. He holds a BFA in Acting with a Minor in Education from Ithaca College.

Achille has workshopped Not Not Jane (George), Is Cry You Cry'n? (Toddrick), Liars (Trail), and is currently workshopping a new Emma Yurfest play.
He has been a member of the acting cohort within Clubbed Thumb's New Play Directing Fellowship for 2 seasons.
In June 2025, Achille originated the role of WEEPING WILLOW at the world premiere of Donetta Lavinia Gray's new play, Kudzu Calling, at Alabama Shakespeare Festival.
Achille portrayed both Touchstone (comedic prose) and Adam (dramatic verse) in Shakespeare's As You Like It w/ Amoeba Productions at Riverbank State Park.



Achille played SKINHORSE in The Velveteen Rabbit at Mile Square Theatre February 2025, performing the children's book classic for schools and theater patrons.
Achille played the role of GABRIEL in Comfort Food, co-produced by Walking on Water and Fitz&Startz, in residence at Ithaca's Kitchen theatre. The role garnered him warm reviews in local papers.
Achille co-lead the Hangar Theatre's summer kids' musical as Mr. Mallard in Make Way for Ducklings!
